Lazzaro’s Healing Journey: Mind-Body Transformation, Alternative Medicine, and Hypnotherapy
Lazzaro was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy—one of the world’s renowned Blue Zones, celebrated for its high concentration of centenarians and deep-rooted traditions. Growing up in a family guided by spiritual values, he was profoundly influenced by his uncle, a Capuchin monk known as “Frate Nazareno di Pula”; his cousin, “Suor Maria Serafina,” a cloistered nun at the Convent of the Suore di Clausura di Cagliari; and his mother and father, who instilled in him strong traditional Sardinian values of respect and love toward others.
From a young age, Lazzaro demonstrated a passion for the arts. At 16, under a different name, he embarked on a career in the music industry, recording for various labels and performing on national tours and television programs. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he played piano, guitar, bass, and synthesizers. His creative pursuits led him to Rome, where he studied cinematography at the prestigious Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and worked on film sets with celebrated directors, including Federico Fellini and Niko Ricci.

At 21, Lazzaro fulfilled his mandatory service in the Italian army. However, his life took a dramatic turn at 27, when he was diagnosed with a tumor on his parotid gland. Unable to find a specialist for his unique case in Italy, Lazzaro decided to seek treatment in Canada. Doctors warned him of the risks, as the tumor was entwined with the facial nerve and posed significant challenges for surgery. He declined biopsies, fearing the procedure could cause the tumor to spread.
This health crisis marked the beginning of a new journey. Determined to heal, Lazzaro immersed himself in researching natural therapies and alternative medicine, seeking also to overcome anxiety and depression caused by his cancer. He practiced mind visualization, breathing exercises, and traditional Chinese medicine, managing to shrink the tumor enough to undergo successful surgery and recovery. Choosing to make Canada his new home, Lazzaro settled in Vancouver, BC.
During his recovery, he produced and directed TV shows for Rogers Communications and launched an eveningwear line for women, creating designs for pageant contestants, including Miss Canada, Miss Tijuana, and the Canadian representative to Miss Universe.
In 2006, Lazzaro moved to Toronto, where he dedicated himself to studying mind-body connections and alternative healing. Feeling a newfound sense of purpose, he pursued research and training in hypnotherapy. He became a certified hypnotist and instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the world’s oldest and most prestigious organization of its kind. Lazzaro founded the International Healing Clinic (also known as the Natural Healing Clinic) in Toronto’s Bloor Village, offering hypnotherapy services to the public

In 2015, while visiting Italy, Lazzaro awoke one night with severe pain that left him unable to move. An MRI revealed three severely herniated discs and a small dark spot—diagnosed as a tumor—in the middle of his spinal column. Refusing hospitalization, he cared for himself at home, relying on self-hypnotherapy, hypno-motor movements, mind-body breathing, and HBMD, a method that he created and practiced on himself in order to recover.
After three months of intensive practice, he regained the ability to walk and returned to Toronto. Later that year, Lazzaro moved back to Vancouver, where he continued his studies in alternative therapies and received a diploma in hypnotherapy from a prestigious school in London, UK, under the guidance of Faith Eileen Waude. Four months after intensive self-hypnotherapy, a follow-up MRI showed that his spine had healed, the herniated discs were reabsorbed, and the suspected tumor had disappeared.

In 2019, Lazzaro was honored with a global award in Chicago for his contributions to the field, among many other accomplishments. This is just a small part of his life story.
Acknowledging that the mind is a powerful force that influences the body, Lazzaro’s journey is dedicated to helping others live better lives, using his skills with compassion and a love for humankind.
